Talk: Autofiction - between Life & Art

UPPSALA | Thursday 9 Feb 19.00 Tickets 60:-

From Karl Ove Knausgård to Rachel Cusk, authors who mix autobiography and fiction have taken the literary scene by storm in recent years. But is the practice new?

Three specialists on autofiction will each choose a work to discuss, in order to illuminate the history, breadth and allure of the autofictional.

Guiding us through the autofictional literature this evening are: Prof. Emma Clery, Uppsala University‚ Dr. Alexandra Effe, University of Oslo; Prof. Dr. Martina Wagner-Egelhaaf, University of Münster.

Welcome to a literary evening to enlight and delight!

Book your ticket with the bookshop today (or at the door on the event night).

Have you discovered our Reading Groups yet?

Reading Group titles in February 2023

Our reading groups are informal and relaxed occasions where we get together to discuss a chosen novel and enjoy some tea and cake.

Each meeting is a separate event, so there’s no need to commit to an entire semester of reading groups. Sign up for a meeting and join us when you have the time, and the book of the month interests you.
